With over one hundred writing and movement lessons ("sequences"), Sense Writing is a ground-breaking approach developed by Madelyn Kent that merges principles of Somatic Education and neuro-plasticity into the creative process. 

Now for the first time the same Sense Writing sequences that have allowed hundreds of people to "bring blood" to the delicate connections among their senses, imagination, and movement to increase creative flow, have been made into recordings.

These Sense Writing recordings are available only in the one-to-one training program.


Trainings

All the training are organized around the four modules of Sense Writing. Want to learn more about the approach and modules?

Process and Craft, Module One (6 sessions)

Whether you are new to writing or an experienced writer stuck in a long-term project, Sense Writing: Process and Craft will shift the way you create.  Delve deeply into Sense Writing's first module, Constraints and Freedom, and learn pragmatic tools that will unlock your voice and find new habits guided by curiosity and a newly sharpened intuition rather than compulsion or feelings of "performance."  You will have the time to both discover the beautiful simplicity of your creative process and understand the complexity of it-- and it will be both of these that will keep you engaged and invested in your writing.

  • five 75-minute sessions with Madelyn over 6 weeks
  • one 75-minute follow-up (scheduled within one month of the last session)
  • custom training recording following every session plus reflections (for a total of 8)
  • one email/week (in addition to the reflections)
  • private webpage which allows you organize your work efficiently and track your progress
  • access to all recordings for the duration of your sessions plus one-month
  • one Sense Writing training mp3 at the end of the sessions for you to keep.

The Practice, Modules One and Two (10 sessions)

The Practice will teach you how to gently work with your nervous system to change your writing process and find a practice that is sustainable, not only for the writing you are working on now, but for long after.  We'll be covering and spiraling through the first two modules of Sense Writing (Constraints and Freedom and Differentiation/Integration), which include the tools to revise and revisit your work, as well as touch on the last two modules of Sense Writing, Articulated Sensitivity and Non-Habitual Flow. 

  • eight 75-minute sessions with Madelyn over 10 weeks 
  • two 75-minute follow-up (within three months of the last session)
  • custom training recording(s) following every session plus reflection
  • two emails/week (in addition to the reflection)
  • private webpage which allows you organize your work efficiently and track your progress
  • one Sense Writing training mp3 at the end of the sessions for you to keep
  • The Practice gives you a life-time membership to the sequences, which means you have access to your private webpage and can listen to the training recordings and view the videos anytime in the future.

The Masterclass, All Four Modules (18 sessions)

Note: If you have taken any Sense Writing workshop in person with me, the One-on-One Training will continue from the last module you've learned.  So, for example, if you have completed Sense Writing I and sign up for The Practice, we'll delve into the next two modules (Differentiation and Integration and Articulated Sensitivity) while still spiraling through the first (Constraints and Freedom.)
