Bring the hum home with Sense Writing's One-on-One Training

For the first time

Sense Writing is a ground-breaking approach that teaches you to work with your nervous system to unlock your voice as a writer. And now, for the first time, the same Sense Writing sequences taught in workshops around the world are now available in recordings.

How will I learn?

The One-on-One Training Programs are a combination of:

  • one-on-one meetings with me
  • recorded Sense Writing sequences tailored for you
  • your own easy-to-use private web page where you will listen to the recordings, post your work, and communicate with me throughout the week.

Support and Accountability

After each session with me, you will receive the training recordings for that week which spiral through and reinforce the skills learned in our previous session together. These recordings are highly meditative and guiding.  All you do is press play!  Sometimes, there also be a short training video. After each recorded session that you do, there is time to post yourreflections on the process that I read and comment on through out the week.

How much time will it require each week?

In addition to the 75-minute sessions, you will have a writing assignment for that week which is supported by the recorded training sequences.  These recordings usually run 15-20 minutes, while the more in-depth sequences run 30-40 minutes. You can listen to and do these recordings as many times as you'd like.

You will notice below that for each training there are built-in weeks for integration. These are weeks where we do not meet but that you are guiding yourself through the week and we continue to check in with each other. The goal of all the training programs is to develop a sustainable writing practice all your own.

The Practice, Modules One and Two (10 sessions over 3 months)

The Practice will teach you how to gently work with your nervous system to change your writing process and find a practice that is sustainable, not only for the writing you are working on now, but for long after.  We'll be covering and spiraling through the first two modules of Sense Writing (Constraints and Freedom and Differentiation/Integration), which include the tools to revise and revisit your work, as well as touch on the last two modules of Sense Writing, Articulated Sensitivity and Non-Habitual Flow.

  • eight 75-minute sessions with Madelyn over 10 weeks
  • two 75-minute follow-up (within three months of the last session)
  • custom training recordings following every session plus reflection (for a total of 12-15)
  • two emails/week (in addition to the reflection)
  • private web page which allows you organize your work efficiently and track your progress
  • one Sense Writing training mp3 at the end of the sessions for you to keep
  • The Practice gives you a life-time membership to the sequences, which means you have access to your private webpage and can listen to the training recordings and view the videos anytime in the future.

The Masterclass, All Four Modules (18 sessions over 6 months)

*Highly-recommended for those who would like to work towards completing a long-term project. An in-depth study of all four modules.

(See The Practice above for details.)

  • sixteen 75-minute sessions with Madelyn over approximately 5 months.
  • two 75-minute follow-up (within three months of the last session)
  • custom training recordings (for a total of 20-23)
  • Follow-up of up to 50 pages read with feedback up to 6 months after last session.

Collectives

You can choose to study with a friend or in a small collective. 20% off for two people. 30% off for 3. Length of each session depends on how many people.

Note: If you have taken any Sense Writing workshop in person with me, the One-on-One Training will continue from the last module you've learned.  So, for example, if you have completed Sense Writing I and sign up for The Practice, we'll delve into the next two modules (Differentiation and Integration and Articulated Sensitivity) while still spiraling through the first (Constraints and Freedom.)
